Hi, I'm Christy Brock. I am trained in Child Development and Mental Health, Child and Family Therapy, Play Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Art/Expressive Therapy, and Grief Therapy. I treat children, adolescents, and young adults, ages 6 - 18, in individual and family therapy sessions. My theoretical viewpoint is client and strength based. Families are encouraged to participate in sessions when necessary with the youth, as studies have shown families to be the biggest influence as a change agent in a child’s mental health treatment.
I am an Independently Licensed Social Worker, with a supervision designation. I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work specializing in Children and Families, from The University of Cincinnati, in 2008. I also spent two years at Capital University, in Bexley, Ohio, earning my Bachelor of Social Work Degree in 2006.
